The process included a clinical study in the US using an innovative design, with infants’ growth monitored at home by their parents under the supervision of pediatric nurses.

In close collaboration with a renowned panel of scientific experts, Unica completed a GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) dossier supporting the safe use of dry whole goat milk in infant formula. In 2023, the US FDA completed its review of the dossier. Published as GRN No. 1136, it was the first GRAS notification addressing the safe use of dry whole goat milk in infant formula.
